This ultimate vegan tofu scramble is fluffy, savory, and full of cheesy, egg-style flavor. Ready in just 15 minutes! Made with nutritional yeast and black salt (kala namak) for the perfect vegan breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale

1 block firm tofu (14 to 16 oz)

2 tbsp nutritional yeast

1 tsp black salt (kala namak)

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1 tbsp avocado oil

Salt & pepper, to taste

Optional: chopped veggies (like tomatoes, spinach, onion)


Instructions

  1. Drain tofu and pat dry. Crumble with your hands or fork.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. If using, add onion first; sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, cook another 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add crumbled tofu and all seasonings. Stir well to coat.
  5. Cook 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and fluffy.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
